Centered on the queer, feminine body, the work examines the poetics of a struggle between desire, harm, and relief within a context of social exclusion and mistrust. This is enacted through the gesture of scratching an itch and the various stages of attempting to suppress that impulse, drawing from a life-long auto immune disorder and the coping mechanisms developed to manage it.
