For the Blackbirds

Athens, Greece, 2021.In the middle of the pandemic, I created an offering for my friends: the blackbirds I watched from the rooftop of my family’s apartment. This rooftop was my refuge during the quarantine, and the blackbirds were a solace. I sculpted their forms out of bread and invited them in an act of cannibalism.
